Alouette Adventurue
Magical times watching the sun rise in the early morning hours, far away from civilization, with the sound of roaming waters, the feeling of warm sun touching the skin, and the smell of coffee!

Alouette Lake is about a good 1.5 hour drive eastbound from Vancouver – at least for us at 6am on a quiet Sunday morning. There are plenty of breath taking hikes around the lake – from easy to advanced. Make sure you have good hiking shoes and some food and water with you – you will want to stay forever!
We hiked a good hour in a wonderful quiet and idyllic scenery, passing breath taking waterfalls and natural pools, giant trunks of trees that had been cut at the beginning of the last century, steep cliffs and muddy slopes, until we reached a wide river where we found a huge rock overlooking the entire area. After enjoying the beauty of nature for a while we decided to have breakfast & drank our coffee & ate our croissants in the warm sunshine and with the sound of the thunderous waterfall close by!
During the hike back in the afternoon the sun sparkled through the leaves of the forest while we felt completely restored – what an unforgettable day it was!
