Happy body, happy soul

Happy body, happy soul

It’s amazing how a healthy lifestyle can help you through a lot of stuff.

After a few weeks of being crazy active, conquering the Grouse Grind twice a week, taking classical jazz dance classes (they *do* train your legs and abs there OMG!) and run my 5-8k every other night, I get to see some progress. Not that I’m concerned about my weight or body, I was always comfortable with myself. But I feel strong. I feel like capable of achieving anything, and all that workout relieved so much stress and negative thoughts – I feel like becoming a complete new human being!

Future Goals: I’d like to get more flexible, keep my Grind time under an hour, and work on my dance routines. Bend, dance, run, sweat, it’s an amazing feeling!  So far, so good.

Eating healthy is not only important but gives you SO much more fuel and energy, and I feel happier in the long run. I’m not drinking sugary drinks, doubled my vegetable and protein intake, cut out white sugar, bread and unnecessary carbs, and drink a lot of water. Doesn’t mean I don’t allow the occasional nachos, chocolate or alcohol splurge. Hey – I’m working on a happy body AND a happy mind! Haha.

Bottom line: you can conquer anything knowing bad things are just temporary and good things are a matter of the right attitude, a healthy lifestyle, and a conscious mind.
